In June 2019 i designed and built a show garden at the Royal Norfolk Show. My garden, ‘Beyond the Rusty Arch’, was aimed to take people on a journey through bereavement. Turbulent feelings of loss, interspersed with glimpses of hope moved towards a central area depicting wholeness, comfort and peace. The garden was dedicated to my father who died earlier in the year. I was pleased to be able to use this garden as an opportunity to raise awareness of these issues and very grateful to be partnered with Norwich Cruse Bereavement. I was very happy to receive a gold medal for this garden with the mark of 36 out of 38.
